Carlene is a mum of 2 and Professional Administration Assistant and has lived in South West Sydney (Campbelltown) for 35 years. With 20 years in the workforce, working for companies such as Toll Group, Sunbeam Corporation, BASF and Fuji Xerox, Carlene has held roles including Administration Manager, Customer Service Team Leader and Senior Production Planner and has studied through TAFE, Australian Institute of Management and University of Ballarat.

After becoming a mum, Carlene’s passion was all about being able to maintain a career doing what she loves most, but also being able to enjoy being home to look after her children as well, and this the passion behind her launching her own business in 2015, South West Sydney Virtual Assistant – Carlene assists other sole traders/SMEs with their daily Administration and Office Support needs, helping clients spanning a range of industries including Career Development, RTO’s, Business Broker, Health & Fitness, Celebrant, Beauty and Waterproofing to name a few. Social Media Administration, Website Administration, Word/Document preparation, Customer Service, Data Entry and Research are just some of the services Carlene provides to these clients.

Along with running her business, Carlene is also on the Board of Directors for Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce as Secretary, is also Secretary of her schools P&C and supports other local business mums in the Macarthur Region by hosting monthly network meetings ‘Start Up Mum’ to help and support those mums who work from home with young children, who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to get out and network. Start Up Mum provides that opportunity for them to come and surround themselves with like minded women with the children welcome.

Carlene now has a team of 4 VAs (including herself), working out of a commercial based office in Ingleburn, South West Sydney, as well as 3 overseas VAs.
