girl with megaphoneThere was a very famous movie trilogy released in the late 1980’s which featured a world 30 years in the future, where cars fly on skyways, hoverboards have replaced skateboards and jackets now come with auto-drying functionality should your hoverboard accidentally cut out in the middle of a fountain. Amazingly 30 years ago the same movie predicted some technological advances that are now an every day part of our lives, like the video telephone, which at the time was probably thought as crazy an idea as flying cars.

30 years ago, the concept of using a virtual assistant was also something I am sure many people believed was a slightly farfetched idea that really couldn’t work. Yet a virtual assistant, of the human kind, became a reality much quicker than hoverboards and has been an established industry within Australia for almost 20 years. With the rise of the internet came a virtual workforce springing up in spare bedrooms and home offices around Australia and the globe, providing remote administration support to businesses on a contract basis as needed. This new labour workforce has supported small businesses and their need to source alterative support solutions to increase efficiencies and keep costs low.

My Virtual Solutions is one of those virtual businesses, providing remote executive assistance to small business and entrepreneurs, allowing business owners to focus on what it is that they do best to ensure their business succeeds. Now you can let someone else spend their time worrying about booking those flights, formatting that document and working out just how to fit all those meetings into your week to maximise your time.

And I, Gwen Sams, am the owner and virtual assistant at My Virtual Solutions, where it is my business to ensure your business succeeds. With over eight years senior business support experience, three of those as an Executive Assistant to senior management, I have a solid administration background and can help keep you organised and focused on working in your business and not just on it.

Whether your business is busy trying to turn a hoverboard into reality, or you are an entrepreneur in need of some help keeping track of the details, a virtual assistant can help lighten your workload and give you more hours back in your day. Let my business help your business to succeed.

Until next time.
